Joey grew up in the small town of Nobleton, ON with his mom and 3 brothers, where he loved playing any and every sport growing up. He attended York University, where he obtained a combined degree in Physics and Geomorphology. He then attended medical school in the nation‘s Capital, at the University of Ottawa, prior to coming back to Toronto for his residency training. He then completed a fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, and now through UTOSM focusing on Upper Extremity Reconstruction and general Sports surgery. He has 2 small Children, Victoria (3) and Jackson (1) and can’t wait to get them int sports as well. He has aspirations of becoming a happy community surgeon, and one day hopes to equal his time at work with time on the golf course and ice rink.
