He has gained skills to treat complex and multiple ligament knee injuries and further enhanced his arthroscopic treatments of complicated shoulder pathology. Adam is keenly interested in enhancing the training of surgeons. He has completed his Masters in Surgical Education, whilst working in Toronto. His thesis aims to create a peer-reviewed list of Entrustable Professional Activities for Orthopaedic training. This will enhance the development of curriculum for surgical training. His other research involves the scapular involvement in rotator cuff repairs and a randomized controlled trial into fixation of hip fractures. Adam and his wife Jane are keen adventurers. They spend their weekends mountain biking, trail running and cycling through the Canadian wilderness. In Winter they love skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. They will return to Hobart, Tasmania, where Adam will focus on the arthroscopic and arthroplasty treatment of complex knee and shoulder problems.
