Dr Todd Mason studied Medicine at the University of Tasmania, graduating with First Class Honours in 2009. He then completed his Orthopaedic training in Victoria, Australia to become a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018.
For the next 18 months Todd worked as a full-time Consultant Trauma Surgeon at the Austin Hospital, one of Melbourne’s busy metropolitan hospitals.
He then moved to the UK for further subspecialty training, and has completed the Avon Orthopaedic Centre Knee Fellowship in Bristol. Following this, Todd undertook the Edinburgh Arthroplasty Fellowship, focusing on both primary and revision hip and knee joint replacements.
Dr Mason has joined the UTOSM team for 12 months and is eager to further expand his skills in joint preservation and reconstruction surgery.
Todd holds special interests in knee reconstruction and preservation surgery, revision arthroplasty and enhanced recovery pathways.
Away from work, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife and young son and looks forward to exploring Canada’s natural beauty.
