
Meagan ShieldsMD, FRCSC
Maegan Shields has an interest in hip and knee arthroscopy. She will be doing team physician coverage for the Toronto Metropolitan Women’s hockey team. She completed her residency at the University of Toronto. Maegan went to medical school at Saba University School of Medicine where she simultaneously completed a Masters of Science in Hyperbaric Medicine. Prior to the start of residency, she took part in a two year research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic with a clinical and biomechanical focus on elbow surgery under the supervision of Dr. Shawn O’Driscoll.

Julian MartinezMD, FRCSC
Julian grew up in Monterrey in northeast Mexico. After attending medical school at the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, he moved to Spain in 2011 for a masters degree in management at the University of Barcelona. In 2021 he finished his Orthopaedic Surgery training in Mexico City at La Salle University and UNAM.
Julian is grateful to be a part of the UTOSM fellowship program, and plans to focus his practice in orthopaedic sports medicine after this experience.

Jad MansourMD, FRCSC
Dr. Jad Mansour was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his medical degree and Orthopedic surgery residency at the Lebanese American University of Beirut before moving to France to pursue a one-year Fellowship in Orthopedic Traumatology at the Université de Montpellier, Nîmes. He then completed another fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at McGill University Center, Montréal in the year 2022-2023.
He has attended and presented at several national and international meetings and is an active member on committees of several scientific societies and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Mansour has a major interest in knee reconstruction, multi-ligaments knees injuries, and shoulder arthroscopy. He plans on going back to Lebanon after finishing his fellowships to pursue his career as an academic orthopedic surgeon.

James YJ LeeMD, FRCSC
James grew up in Richmond Hill, Ontario. After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario, he obtained his MD at the University of Ottawa. James pursued Orthopedic Surgery residency training at the University of Toronto, qualifying as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 2022.
James completed American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon accredited fellowship in shoulder and elbow reconstructive surgery at Beaumont Health, Michigan and returned back home to continue his training through the University of Toronto Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship program.
James’ clinical interests include shoulder and elbow reconstruction, upper extremity trauma as well as comprehensive treatment of sports related injuries.
Away from work, James enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn daughter.

Tyler HauerMD, FRCSC
Tyler was born and raised in the GTA. Prior to beginning medical school, he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Lake Forest College in Illinois, where he also played NCAA hockey. A Toronto native, he was then fortunate enough to return home for both medical school and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Toronto. Guided by his sports background and through excellent mentorship he became driven to pursue a career as an academic sports surgeon. His clinical interests include all aspects of orthopaedic sports surgery with a focus on hip and knee preservation. His research interests involve the use of technology in surgical education, concentrating on the validation and implementation of augmented curriculum alternatives.
