Emran M. BadghishMD, FRCSC
Emran M. Badghish is an orthopedic surgeon, educator, and researcher with a passion for sports medicine and helping people return to the activities they love. A graduate of Maastricht University in the Netherlands, his medical journey has been shaped by an international perspective, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Now an Assistant Professor of Orthopedics and fellow at UTOSM he combines clinical practice with teaching and research, with particular interests in sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, evidence-based medicine, and surgical innovation. He is especially passionate about translating meaningful research into better decisions in the operating room and better outcomes for patients.
Beyond surgery, Emran enjoys mentoring future physicians and collaborating with colleagues across different institutions and cultures. At the heart of his work is a simple philosophy: keep learning, challenge what can be improved, and leave a positive impact on every patient, student, and colleague you encounter
Jessica MowbrayMD, FRCSC
Jessica grew up in Auckland, New Zealand and studied medicine at The University of Auckland, graduating in 2014. She completed Orthopaedic training in New Zealand to become a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2024. She has recently completed a year of fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Roth½McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC) in London, Ontario.
Her clinical interests include shoulder reconstruction, arthroplasty and multi-ligament knee injuries. She is excited to join the team at UTOSM to further develop her skills in these areas.
Outside of work she enjoys hiking, camping and going on adventures with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
J. Patrick ParkMD, FRCSC
Dr. Patrick Park was born and raised in Busan, Korea, and moved to Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 13. He subsequently completed his undergraduate, graduate, and medical studies at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, where he also completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency.
His clinical interests include athletic and high-energy injuries of the knee and shoulder, as well as Orthopaedic Traumatology.
Outside of work, Pat enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, Matilde, and their son, Louis. Together, they enjoy discovering new restaurants, going for stroller walks, and traveling to show Louis the world.
Following his Orthopaedic Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto, he will pursue an Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Laurel CollingsMD, FRCSC
Laurel was born and raised in White Rock, British Columbia. After completing her undergraduate degree in biomechanics at the University of British Columbia, she attended medical school at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She then moved to Calgary, Alberta where she completed her orthopaedic surgery residency. Following residency, Laurel spent a year doing a trauma fellowship in Christchurch, New Zealand at the University of Otago.
Laurel is excited to be a part of the UTOSM fellowship and looks forward to building on her arthroscopic skills and expertise in sports injuries. Her clinical interests include knee reconstruction, multi-ligament knee injury, osteotomy/realignment, and cartilage restoration.
Outside of work, Laurel enjoys snowboarding, hiking and traveling the globe with her partner Matt.
Darius LameireMD, FRCSC
Darius Lameire was born in Vancouver, B.C. although he spent much of his
childhood living in multiple cities including Victoria, Halifax, and San Diego. He completed his
undergraduate degree in biochemistry at McMaster University followed by his medical degree at
McMaster University. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Toronto,
where he spent a year as chief resident. Next year he will be completing a second fellowship in
orthopaedic sports surgery at Stanford University.
Outside of work, he enjoys basketball, weightlifting, and sleeping.
